Why now?

I am certain that much like the Scriptures, I'll relfect on this to see how God is faithful, loving, full of grace, and never ceasing to work out His vision for the world to worship Him! Feel free to check in regularly as I use this blog to journal the journey that God has in store for my family and ministry.

Small...but by no means least.

Arkansas population ranks #33 out of 56 states. (Where the hay did 56 come from?)
Arkansas…though you are small some notable people came from you.
-         Johnny Cash
-         Bill Clinton
-         Paul “Bear” Bryant
Cash, Clinton, and Bear!…Arkansas, you may be small but are by no means least!
But you, Bethlehem…though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.  Micah 5:2 (approx. 700BC)
But you, Bethlehem…are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.  Matthew 2:6
The birth of Jesus in Bethlehem put them on the map so to say...small in size but great in significance.
-         How many reasons do we use to justify our insignificant view of our life?
-         I’m this or I’m that, I’m only so and so…It's not like I'm so and so, I'm just me.  :(
Try seeing yourself through this today instead…
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory  Ephesians 1:3, 13
God’s purpose in all this was to use the church (all believers!) to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.  This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.  3:10-11

Jesus’ residence in your life changes an insignificant existence into significant…for today, through faith, in you lives King Jesus, the Babe of Christmas.
